Stefan Wells
CS Student/Jr Software Developer
I am a Computer Science student with a strong focus on Java development and computer science fundamentals. Through my coursework and personal projects, I have developed a strong understanding of OOP, data structures, and problem-solving. I enjoy learning hands-on by building things myself and understanding how everything works under the hood.
Home Lab
Using an old Lenovo ThinkCentre, I built a personal Linux home lab running Ubuntu Server and deployed Pi-hole for network-wide ad and threat blocking. I configured secure remote access, managed users and permissions, and monitored DNS traffic and system logs. This project provided hands-on experience with Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and basic cybersecurity practices.
Pokémon Themed Front-End Website
This was a school project my partner and I did. It is a front-end web application that recreates the experience of opening Pokémon Base Set booster packs. The project features animated pack opening effects, a stacked card reveal system, and dynamic card rendering using external data. Users can open packs, flip cards one-by-one, and view revealed cards in a responsive layout.
